Ownership of the Golf Course
The golf course has been sold to an investment firm in Minnesota. We have been told that the new owner will be cleaning things up and making it a working golf course. I do not have a time frame on this, but his contractor/employee was there today (4/6/24) taking an inventory of what needs to be done. I asked him to keep the HOA updated.
Walking on or Using the Golf Course
Since the HOA does not own the golf course, it cannot grant permission to go on it. With that being said, should residents or their guests enter the course, they do so at their own risk and the HOA will not be liable in any way. Hamilton County has a leash law, and anyone who walks their pets on the golf course should obey it remembering that you are responsible for your pet’s actions. Anyone who uses the golf course for driving or putting practice should be certain their balls do not go into private lawns. There should be no motor vehicles on the course. Residents are advised to note the licensed plate and call 911 to report anyone attempting to drive on the course in an automobile, 4-wheeler, mini bike, etc. Again, the HOA does not recommend and is not responsible for anyone entering the golf course property.
Impact on Home Values
Eagle Bluff continues to be a much sought-after neighborhood. Based on the number of new homes sold, lots sold, existing home sales, and average price per square foot in comparison to previous years, the closing of the course does not appear to have negatively impacted home values.
